For macOS 14 and later
LumaWindow is a simple window manager for your Mac. Snap windows to halves, quarters and thirds from the keyboard or by dragging, and clear your Desktop with one press.
Launching soon, with 14 days free and every feature. Apple silicon and Intel.
Try it: pick a layout. In the app each one is a keyboard shortcut you can change.
Window management
LumaWindow puts any window where you want it in one move, on any display, and it stays out of your way the rest of the time.
Halves, quarters, thirds, two-thirds, maximize and centre, each on a shortcut. ⌃⌥← snaps left, ⌃⌥→ snaps right and ⌃⌥↑ maximizes.
Repeat a shortcut to step the window from a half to two-thirds to a third, without reaching for the mouse.
Drag a window to an edge or corner and an outline shows where it will land. Let go and it's there.
Also in LumaWindow
Halves, quarters, thirds, two-thirds, maximize, almost maximize and centre, with optional gaps between windows.
Send a window to the next display with one shortcut. It keeps its place against the edge instead of being stretched.
One press hides every app, the way ⌘H does. Press again and exactly those apps come back, with the one you were using in front. ⌃⇧D
Arrange your windows once and save where they are. One click puts them back, and a setup can apply by itself when you plug in a display.
Change any shortcut to any combination, even a single function key. LumaWindow warns when one would clash with macOS or block typing.
Some apps refuse to get smaller. LumaWindow remembers their minimum size and plans around it, so windows land where the preview says.
Privacy
LumaWindow doesn't look at what's inside your windows, and it has no account to sign in to.
Pricing
No subscription. Try every feature for 14 days, then buy a licence if LumaWindow earns its place in your menu bar.
Prices in US dollars. Sales tax and VAT are worked out at checkout by Dodo Payments, our reseller, which handles the payment and your receipt.
macOS only lets an app move another app's windows through Accessibility. LumaWindow uses it to see where each window is and to arrange them. It never reads window contents and never captures your screen.
Yes. Layouts apply on whichever display a window is on, and one shortcut sends it to the next display.
Some apps have a minimum size, or a fixed one. LumaWindow fits the window as close to the layout as the app allows and tells you when it couldn't.
LumaWindow asks for a licence key. Your settings are kept, so nothing is lost while you decide.
